Otile Brown all smiles as his top songs are restored back to YouTube

Kenyan artist Jacob Obunga alias Otile Brown is all smiles after his hit songs that had been removed from YouTube got restored on Tuesday, October 12. 

In a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, the musician thanked his fans for being patient as he worked round the clock to restore the mess. 

“We are back on YouTube, asanteni kwa uvumilivuRiziki wataichelewesha tu, watch me go watch your favorite song,” Otile Brown announced.

The move to restore the songs come just a day after the musician, who is the most watched in Kenya, assured his fans that he was working to ensure that the videos are restored back to the streaming website. 

The songs that had been deleted from the YouTube channel include; Dusuma, Chaguo la Moyo, Baby Love, Hi, Watoto na Pombe, In love, Samantha, Aiyana, Crush, Regina, Ndakugunda and Jamila. 

It is worth noting that Otile’s Dusuma, is the most watched song in the country as it has over 33 million views. The hitsong is closely followed by his other song Chaguo la Moyothat has over 28 million views. 

Such Kinda Love, that he featured artiste Jovial, has also amassed over 10 million within a span of three months. 

The musician said that he would not give much details on the matter but mantained that he was sure the songs would be back. 

“We cannot go into the specific reasons that led to the deletion but we would like to assure you that we took up the issues with our legal team, partners and YouTube. They already confirmed that there had been an issue but assured us that they are working to resolve, restore and reinstate the content,” he said in a statement posted online. 

He also apologised to his fans and thanked them for always supporting him in his music career. 

Otile Brown holds the number one spot when it comes to Kenyan artistes and he had a total of 919,000 subscribers which makes him the man with the most followers in Kenya.
