Veteran musician turned politician Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, is advocating for former comedian turned humanitarian Eric Omondi to explore collaboration with the government for more impactful efforts.
Jaguar, now serving as the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) after a five-year tenure as the Member of Parliament for Starehe, commended Omondi’s work but suggested that partnering with the government could yield greater results than individual efforts.
In a trending video on Instagram, Jaguar emphasized the scale of challenges faced by the nation, stating, “The disaster is bigger than Eric Omondi.”
While acknowledging Omondi’s contributions, Jaguar expressed skepticism about the ability of one person to effect significant change.
He stressed the potential for enhanced effectiveness through collaboration with the government, citing examples of Omondi’s recent humanitarian work during Kenya’s period of heavy rainfall and floods.
Jaguar highlighted Omondi’s efforts in areas like Athi River, where he assisted flood-affected communities, but pointed out the limitations of individual initiatives in addressing nationwide crises.
He urged Omondi to consider joining forces with the government to maximize impact and facilitate more comprehensive solutions.
Expressing appreciation for Omondi’s intentions, Jaguar reiterated the need for a collaborative approach to tackling complex challenges.
He suggested that by working together with the government, Omondi could contribute more effectively to alleviating the widespread effects of natural disasters and other societal issues.
