Eric Omondi’s Wife Material Show Returns

Never has a Kenyan show had ups and downs like Wife Material has. A day after Eric Omondi was picked up by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the filming and recording of Wife Material was halted. Eric and Kenya Film and Classification Board’s chairman Ezekiel Mutua butted heads and Eric even apologised for airing the show. But the “reality” show’s days are far from over as it seems the airing of season 2 Wife Material is still underway.

Eric Omondi has announced that season 2 will be coming to a screen near you, even though the East African cast and contestants returned home. The show will be aired soon but with a PG 21 rating. “By now I assume that everybody understands that Wife Material is clearly not a family show. We have all understood the show by now. As we prepare to bring back Wife Material 2, it is important to clearly state that this show is rated PG 21. Please prepare and take note accordingly,” Eric said via his Instagram account.

This comes soon after Eric urged parents to relieve him of the burden of being a role model to their children. “Parents should love me, watch my content, laugh at my jokes but do not leave your children to me.” He said.
