DJ Joe Mfalme (real name Joseph Mwenda) received a warm welcome from his fans after some rough two weeks.
He was released from police custody on Monday, April 8 in the ongoing murder case against late Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer Felix Kelian.
The prosecution told Kibera Magistrate Margaret Murage that DJ Joe Mfalme, alongside five others including three police officers, would now act as State witnesses and not suspects.
The accused-turned-state witnesses are Eric Kariuki Gathua, Simon Wambugu Wanjiru, Khadija Abdi Wako, Sammy Cheruiyot Rotich, and Agnes Kerubo Mogoiare.
One of his crew members named Allan Ochieng alias Hype Ballo will however be treated as a murder suspect in the incident.
On Tuesday evening, DJ Joe Mfalme enthralled his fans at The Tunnel in Syokimau, Machakos County.

According to multiple images shared on his social media platforms, Mfalme received a warm welcome from the huge number of fans who filled up the premises, lining up to take photos with him.
Today, (Wednesday) he will be having a gig in Mirema, Nairobi County before heading down to coast for a weekend gig.
Mfalme was under police custody for 14 days alongside six other suspects before his release on Monday.
MC Gogo, DJ Daffy were among other entertainers who were present during court proceedings on that day in support of their friend and colleague.
Following his release, DJ Joe Mfalme took to social media to express gratitude to his fans for their encouraging messages.
“Dear Friends, supporters and well-wishers, We want to sincerely thank you for having stood firmly with DJ Joe and his team during this challenging time. We are relieved and do welcome the outcome of the investigations carried out as they have exonerated DJ Joe Mfalme…
“As a result of the outcome of the investigations, DJ Joe Mfalme, Erick Kariuki and Simon Wanjiru have been unconditionally released today by the court sitting at Kibera. We have advised our legal representatives to follow up with Allan Ochieng’s case and provide legal assistance. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Inspector Felix Kelian’s family and we extend our most heartfelt sympathies. Thank you for your prayers and continued support, God Bless,” read his statement.
