Billionaire Jimnah Mbaru Sued For Child Neglect

A woman has filed a maintenance case seeking 320,000 shillings monthly from businessman Jimnah Mbaru and 600,000 shillings yearly as school fees for their minor.

The woman said that Mbaru should be ordered to comply with his parental responsibilities and contribute towards the welfare of the four year old son.

In a letter attached to court papers it is alleged that Mbaru being a biological father to the minor gave power of attorney to another man to be a putative father.

However the putative father who was to be giving the woman 50,000 shillings per month failed to remit the said money for the maintenance of the minor.

In the court papers filed by lawyer Lempaa Suyianka, the woman said that she has been maintaining the minor without Mbaru’s contribution.

She further alleged that they have been together since 2017 and she conceived and got a child on July 10, 2018.

The lady who is now 24 years old further argues that Mbaru has declined to have his name included in the birth certificate as the biological father to the minor.

“That on 1st September 2020 the 1st respondent instructed and gave power of attorney to one Eric Murimi Kaburu to be a putative father to the minor terms of which are not known in any law including the constitution of Kenya,” reads court papers.

According to the papers, a putative father is supposed to take the responsibility of a father.

She also wants a DNA conducted and the putative father restrained from holding himself as a putative father to the minor.

The 320,000 shillings is divided for the following usage.

Food: 50,000 shillings

Medical Expenses: 50,0000 shillings

Clothes: 50,000 shillings

Shopping: 100,000 shillings

House help: 50,000 shillings

Miscellaneous expenses: 20,000 shillings

She added that Mbaru is a man of means and therefore capable of supporting the child without any difficulties.
