American National Sergio Patrick Antonucci Arraigned Over KSh 163 Million Gold Supply Fraud in Nairobi

An American national, Sergio Patrick Antonucci, was on Monday arraigned at Milimani Law Court and charged with obtaining Ksh 163 M by falsely pretending that he would supply gold.

Sergio Patrick Antonucci, who appeared before Milimani magistrate Susan Shitubi, pleaded not guilty to two counts and was released on a bond of ten million with one contact person.

With the prosecution not opposing bond or cash bail, his lawyers, led by Conrad Maloba, said they will abide by the court’s bond and bail terms.

According to the main count, it is alleged that on diverse dates between 31st March and 30th May 2024 within Nairobi County, within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court conspired to commit a felony, namely stealing a sum of USD 1,271,200.74 from Tanner Caldwell Cook by falsely pretending that you were in a position to facilitate the sale of 2028 kg of gold to the said Tanner Caldwell Cook, a fact you knew to be false.

The matter will now be mentioned on the 23rd of January, 2025.
