Alleged Coverup For Murder Suspect Swaleh Faud Mohammed

Days after a Kibera Court ordered the detention Mr. Swaleh Faud Mohammed alot has occurred. The man has admitted to have killed a guard who raised him up from as young as six years.

However, the emergence of details from the ODPP that Swaleh Faud Mohammed will be charged with Manslaughter has shocked many amid  his alleged plan of plea bargaining.

His family gave almost nothing to the family of the deceased during the burial period despite the late Leonard Nyongesa having served them for over ten years.

” The only appreciation they have given us is to kill our friend, we are so much shocked and traumatized,” said a close friend to the deceased.

After the alledged murder, Swaleh Faud Mohammed was arraigned in Court under a miscellaneous application where the court ordered that he be detained to allow more investigations.

The police were further added more days by the court to investigate leading to the decision to charge him with Manslaughter.

According to the police, a case of sudden death was reported at Nairobi West Patrol base on 14th April 2024.

The report said that their residence security guard namely Leornard Nyongesa had not been seen for a whole day on April 13.

The police said that they proceeded to the scene of the death where they interviewed witnesses and managed to retrieve CCTV footage of the residence.

According to the police, after reviewing the footage they managed to capture Swaleh Faud in a confrontation and fighting with the deceased.

Preliminary investigations confirmed that Swaleh Faud was residing in the nearby residence and has so far narrated to the investigations that he had confrontation with the deceased which turned up ugly and ended up fighting with the deceased.

Swaleh alleged that he went to collect his bicycle at her grandmother’s place and requested the guard to gain access to the premises to pick the bicycle.

The security guard denied him the access and dared him to step inside the premises if he was a man enough.

He told police that he forced his way inside the residence and picked the bicycle and while he was going out he was blocked by the guard from getting outside the residence.

”He hit him to death with a metal straight to his head and not once, he did severally leading to the death of the guard,” a witness said.

He is currently detained at Langata Police Station and set to be arraigned.
