Over Sh5.7 billion in seven years was the duration that Mathira MP took to loot through fictitious payments from specific quarters, that he received from several government agencies with it including moneys from the Nyeri County Government. Having been left as a ‘trustee’ with the health of his ailing brother dwindling, MP Gachagua had fallen on a bait that he knew would be his quest to prosperity as he created his cartel, building a formidable force of loot. Gachagua well understood the grey areas to manipulate and use to his advantage with Nyeri County coffers being close to his hart in his scheming.
Therefore, Sh200 million that were recently frozen in his accounts was just a drop in the ocean. It was not a shocker to MP Rigathi but he had to act shocked and seemed like he had lost much but that was pocket change. The real deal maker and storage tank was and still is his wife, Dorcas Rigathi who has camouflaged herself in the name of a pastor, avoided public limelight as she hides her husband’s which presumably make s her a major beneficiary.
Pastor Dorcas Rigathi is the major shareholder and controller of the estate of loot. While preaching water and drinking wine, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has been deceiving her followers to stay faithful and give and they will receive a good measure pressed down, shaken together and running over. And indeed she has been receiving her husband’s proceeds of corruption from a complex scheme of money laundering where her husband MP Gachagua received money from several government institutional entities including the Ministry of Lands, State department for Planning, Ministry of Health, Bungoma County Government Mathira CDF, Nyeri County Government and the National Irrigation Board. The money was then transferred to companies and businesses associated with the MP and the wife who were both directors in the various companies that received money with zero justification and invoicing ensuring that billions looted are put into good use through the said companies.
In one illustration of the role of Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, one of their companies, Encarta Diagnostics Limited had received Sh165,000,000 from Nyeri County that was transferred to the company’s Rafiki MFI Tom Mboya Branch. It had also received Sh35,000,000. Following this payment, Pastor Dorcas was the first to receive Sh12,950,500 trasferred to her account, with Sh9,000,000 being transferred to Toyota Kenya and Taitan Motolink. Key to note was that the transfers were never justified with the money transferred to Toyota Kenya and Taitan Motorlink buying two vehicles registered in the name of MP Rigathi Gachagua with the rest of the amount close to Sh80,000,000 being withdrawn.
Nyeri County was skinned alive from the loot that took place as their governor fought cancer while leaving a brother who acted in total betrayal alongside his Pastor wife. Other companies affiliated to the the looting couple include Rapid Medical Supplies Limite, Skytop Agencies, Jenne Entreprises Limited, Machine Centre Limited. Additionally, companies where it has been confirmed that they are the main directors include Wamunyoro Investments Limited CPR/2001/94670, Technical Supplies Limited and Karandi Farm Limited CPR2001/94303. Additionally, the two have a joint account in the name of RIGATHI GACHAGUA & DORCAS WANJIKU RIGATHI JOINT which is the actual account that received Sh165 million of payment from Nyeri County Government.
In similar light, other Rigathi companies received money from Nyeri County Government in the same pattern of withdrawals and transfers from the various companies at hand. It was a season of loot for Pastor Dorcas Rigathi and her husband MP as his ailing brother in law was on the last lap of his life due to cancer. No compassion and no remorse ever came from Pastor Dorcas Rigathi even in her capacity as a ‘Pastor’. These are the false prophets that the Bible has warned about.
With Deputy President William Ruto as their backbone of corruption. Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has emulated the DPs stunt of pretense by using the church where he gives but again ruthlessly takes. Several of their companies have received millions and millions of shillings which are being continually used for money laundering. With churches enduring closure, their complex corruption scheme has suffered great turmoil as they are now being exposed.
