Fears of Fraud-Linked Duale’s Ally Abdul Galgalo Munishram Could Raid Afya House Tenders

All eyes and whistleblowers are worried that Aden Duale’s ally, Abdul Galgalo Munishram, may land lucrative tenders from the Health Ministry because of their previous friendship.

Munishram, who was previously accused of orchestrating a multibillion fraud at the NHIF, is allegedly a close ally of the incoming Health CS, and there is fear that the Health Ministry will soon fall into the hands of the cartel.

For instance, the controversial businessman was linked to the multi-billion scandal
On November 28, he was never arrested or charged, but small people were charged. Thanks to his deep link with President Uhuru Kenyatta by then.

This led to other stakeholders, like the NHIF CEO, being charged before the Anti-Corruption Court Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, who is today a High Court Judge.

Among the victims of the Munishram scandals were NHIF CEO Geoffrey Gitau Mwangi and acting Finance Director Wilbert Kiplangat Kurgat. They were all released on a Sh1 million bond each and a surety of a similar amount over the multi-billion NHIF scandal.

The two had been charged after a massive public outcry over a large corruption scandal within the NHIF. They were later released after a massive investigation pointed out that Munishram and his associates were behind the loot.

The DPP, after learning that Munishram was behind the theft, said that Abdul Galgalo Munishram, the Director of Messer’s Munshiram International Business System, a software development and Consultancy Company specializing in payment systems, Management systems, Card based systems and systems integrations, contracted by NHIF to steer an ambitious plan to roll out a fully biometric system, was behind the fraud, among other developments.

The NHIF Chief Executive Officer by then knew nothing, and he announced that the rogue Munishram controversial firm had gotten the tender.

The controversial businessman was alledgly linked to some of the powerful politicians in the previous administration of former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration
