Ngilu Is Next On The Chopping Board

The Ngilu-Kalonzo war has escalated after the Narc Party National Chairman, Miltonic Kitute on Monday petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve Kitui County government due to irreconcilable differences between the County Assembly and the Executive. These calls are meant to shift attention from ongoing lobbying in the assembly to impeach Governor Charity Ngilu with the collection of signatures to recall all the MCAs for fresh elections.
Governor Ngilu has accused Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for her woes with MCAs, saying that Kalonzo is undermining her administration through the majority Wiper MCAs in the assembly.

Kitute pointed an accusing finger at the members of the majority wing in the assembly for playing politics with profound matters affecting the county leading to delay in achievement of developmental goals as set oit by the county’s administration. Kitute said that Kitu residents are being denied meaningful development by delaying the passage of the supplementary budget.

Kitute challenged the Wiper Leader to tame his foot soldiers in the house with a view to putting aside their political affiliations and focus to implement Governor Ngilu’s five pillar developmental agenda.

According to Julius Mutukaa, the MCAs rejected the nominees for the County Public Service Board even after they had passed interviews and held all necessary credentials for the same. He asked the assembly to discharge their constitutional mandate without frustrating processes enshrined in the law adding as it hurts the common wananchi when politicians settle political scores by delaying key procedures.
