Kenya Power Now Taken Over By Ruto Allies

Former Nairobi County Executive Committee Member Veska Kangogo has been elected as a director of Kenya Power.

All former directors who were defending their positions at the board were kicked out in a major surgery by shareholders on Friday.

Vivienne Yeda was kicked out as chairman of the board as President William Ruto’s key allies won elections.

Kangongo, an ally of Ruto, unsuccessfully, ran for the Uasin Gishu UDA ticket for governor.

A statement from Kenya Power said on Saturday that Kangogo garnered 980,732,882 votes to become one of the seven directors.

The statement was signed by company secretary Imelda Bore.
