Men who are above 25 years old in Vihiga county have been urged to marry or face disciplinary action, this is an order from Ebulonga location chief, in Luanda subcounty Evans Ouya.
Ouya while speaking during the burial of Moses Maina Amasweche, decried that majority of the youth who have attained the age of 25 do not want to marry.
He said he will comb his area to ensure all men who are above 25 years old get married for the progress of the society.
Ouya noted that many men in his area who have attained the age of marrying are bachelors something he said must be addressed urgently.
Ouya observed that many men have decided not to marry for fear of responsibilities. The leader said the formation of bachelors association in Vihiga county will not be good because it will encourage many men not to get married.
Vihiga women representative Beatrice Adagala was the first leader to discourage such association saying many men will avoid marrying and join the association
