An interesting scenario is developing. As pressure mounts on CORD to call off their planned saba saba rally calls which have been received with deaf ears,the other wing is planning a counter move which could be extremely dangerous to the national security.
It’s alleged that Nairobi jubilee leaders led by Maina Kamanda claims to have had booked Uhuru park,the same venue that CORD had booked for the saba saba rally. Flanked by central counterparts, the jubilee leaders are saying they booked the venue for a peaceful rally and prayer meeting a typical phrase.
CORD on the other end have since reiterated and confirmed to have booked the venue insisting that saba saba rally will go as planned in same venue.
Why would jubilee organize a rally at the same venue? Better yet, why would they schedule it same day as CORD given the political bad blood between the two factors that would easily end in a bloody clash?
This move coincidentally comes at a time when Mpeketoni attack is still fresh in many people’s minds and the theory of ethnic cleansing blossoming. The Kikuyu nation feeling like they need to revenge.
Maina Kamanda who is being said to have had financed purchase of over 1000 machetes for unknown course from a city supermarket ahead of saba saba is on hate speech radar and also for issuing death threats to CORD.
Maina is said to have attacked Senator and CORD luminary Moses Wetangula where he angrily told him,”nyinyi mliua watu wetu(Mpeketoni ) lazima tuwaue” a statement that going by his pangas purchase is seen with raised eyebrows.
Nairobi jubilee leaders held an emergency public address in Muthurwa a commercial gathering majorly from the Kikuyu ethnicity in their speech, the businessmen were told to come out on saba saba to protect their properties a coined way of telling them to arm up and protect their presidency as CORD was planning to overthrow them. Isn’t this the duty of government to protect citizens properties and safeguard the presidency? Why would this leaders call out for their tribesmen for “help”
