Outside forces are said to be behind a woman who is hell-bent on exposing Bomet governor Hillary Barchok dirty linen in what is said to be political shenanigans that will see the governor fail to defend the seat come 2022 general elections. Former MCA aspirant Florence Chepng’etich Chebaibai has threatened to expose Barchok’s underhand deals in the county government where it is said he has given his close relatives and friends plum jobs and multimillion contracts.
Hillary BarchokChebaibai in 2017 ran for Kipreres ward seat in Bomet East constituency but did not make it. Chebaibai said she was among key personalities who implored on Laboso to nominate the then broke and jobless Barchok as running-mate during the 2017 general elections. Barchok also hails from Kipreres ward. She has also threatened to open the lid on Barchok’s extra marital sexual affairs for they were close during the 2017 campaigns before falling out after Barchok landed the deputy governor slot. This, according to Chebaibai, will deal a major blow to the governor’s family as his secret lovers come out guns blazing.
Wesley RotichChebaibai has been insukting the governor and spreading false information about him on various social media platforms in what is seen as mudslinging and personal vendetta to settle scores for reasons best known to herself. The governor claims the post had all political connotations and that his real and imagined enemies were fighting him through Chebaibai adding that he has attempted to sort out the matter including approaching the woman’s parents in vain. Those who are seeking to unseat Barchok include chief administrative secretary Petroleum and Mining John Mosonik, deputy governor Wesley Rotich, former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto and former Konoin MP Julius Kones.
